Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the AI & Data Business Platforms Engineer, your role is to develop, configure, integrate, support, and continuously improve One NZ’s Data & AI business platforms and services. You will transform business requirements, platform demand, and improvement opportunities into scalable, reusable, and governed solutions across Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, knowledge platforms, engagement cloud capabilities, and AI enablement services.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
• Develop, configure, test, enhance, and maintain Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, knowledge platforms, engagement cloud capabilities, and related AI enablement services.
• Provide practical technical guidance to business users, Product Managers, delivery teams, vendors, and managed service partners on platform capabilities, configuration approaches, reusable patterns, and implementation options.
• Build and maintain reusable components, templates, prompts, agent configurations, automations, reports, dashboards, standards, and documentation to improve consistency and delivery efficiency.
• Support the development of AI-enabled capabilities, including agent configuration, prompt design, workflow integration, testing, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Deliver Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud use cases including segmentation, audience management, personalisation, customer journeys, data activation, operational reporting, and issue resolution.
• Develop and support knowledge platform and engagement cloud capabilities, ensuring strong integration patterns, metadata management, AI readiness, and service workflows.
• Investigate platform issues, manage defect resolution, coordinate fixes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform reliability and service maturity.
• Ensure all platform development, customer data activation, reporting, and AI enablement activities align with governance, privacy, security, compliance, and operational standards.
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
• Strong hands-on experience developing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, documenting, and maintaining business platform capabilities across Data & AI ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, engagement cloud technologies, knowledge platforms, and AI enablement services.
• Ability to provide practical technical advice on solution design, platform constraints, reusable patterns, testing requirements, and implementation approaches.
• Understanding of AI enablement practices including prompt engineering, agent design, knowledge grounding, workflow integration, monitoring, and responsible AI delivery.
• Experience supporting automation, integrations, APIs, data flows, reporting, dashboards, segmentation, customer activation, and platform monitoring.
• Strong operational support capability, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, defect management, service reporting, and process improvement.
• Sound knowledge of governance, privacy, security, compliance, access controls, data management, and responsible use of customer and business information.
• Excellent documentation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge-sharing skills.
• A practical, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to solve problems, manage ambiguity, and translate ideas into tangible outcomes.
