Ko tō tūranga – your role

At One NZ, we are undergoing a large, complex and exciting business and AI transformation.

 

As the AI Solution Architect your role is to provide fit for purpose high quality solution designs that deliver to all of the outcomes required; including but not limited to business outcomes and requirements, company policies, architecture and IT standards and principals, and evolve towards IT roadmap outcomes. This role will focus on the delivery of a wide range of AI based solutions for a variety of business outcomes.

 

Please note this role is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

 

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Owning the solution architecture for squad projects in the AI & Data function
  • Ensure the solution architecture is comprehensive and end to end in nature, and aligns to roadmaps, strategies, principals, policies and business needs and requirements
  • Designing solutions which balance between our core principles, strategic alignment and implementation that drive the best result for One NZ
  • Creating a sustainable architecture through documenting architecture, decisions, rationales and contributing to our model repository to further enable the broader team
  • Ensuring you have solution ownership throughout the delivery lifecycle in including post go live into production – taking a guardianship position to sure your solution delivers to the outcomes and benefits intended
  • Ensuring agreement on the architectural decisions and exceptions through our governance framework
  • Sharing technical knowledge with the engineering and architecture community, which supports long-term growth and development of our people
  • Helping us move towards a service-oriented approach to our architecture, driving forward our move to decoupling our systems and creating services as product.

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Agentic AI and Generative AI: Familiarity with Agentic AI enabled by generative AI, including understanding of AI-driven automation, decision-making, and innovation.
  • Software development and technology stacks: Knowledge of software development, application software, operating systems, infrastructure, and database technologies.
  • Programming languages: Proficiency in languages like Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Web development frameworks: Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Cloud Computing: Knowledge of platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud for deploying and scaling solutions.
  • DevOps Practices: Integrating development with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • APIs and micro-services architecture: Strong experience with designing and implementing APIs and micro-services-based architectures.
  • Systems integration and information security: Strong experience with systems integration and information security.
  • Telco BSS and OSS familiarity: Understanding of Telecommunications Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS), encompassing billing, charging, customer management, order management processes, and network management.
  • Developing automated solutions to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention. Ability to orchestrate different automation flows in Agentic AI framework.
