Ko tō tūranga – your role

As an Account Manager at One New Zealand, you’ll champion growth and innovation for local businesses by strengthening their connections through cutting-edge technology. Your purpose is to build genuine partnerships, drive impactful solutions, and help customers thrive—making you an essential contributor to a better-connected New Zealand for everyone.

 

Working within our Business function you will drive profitable growth for One New Zealand through building exceptional customer engagement and market position by maximising revenue within a portfolio of existing and new business customers (between approx. 20 and 500 FTE).

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Develop and lead strategic account plans to grow revenue within a defined portfolio by identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities by outlining customer key decision makers, key contacts, strategic objectives and execution strategy.
  • Develop a clear understanding of customer strategic objectives, to assist them to accelerate their innovation through technology solutions
  • Manage key and strategic stakeholder relationships to achieve high NPS scores, improving conversion and close rates
  • Prospect develop and close opportunities ​through driving core mobile, fixed and ICT products as per portfolio target.
  • Commitment to customer management in order to promote increased growth and loyalty
  • Collaborate and self-organise with team members to meet the shared goals
  • Present reporting against targets and sales pipeline that demonstrate customer growth and loyalty

  • Strong key stakeholder management
  • Outstanding communication, relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong results orientation with a track record of achieving exceptional results and rational decision making and ability to identify, understand and meet customer needs, grow their business and help them digitally transform
  • High attention to detail with good writing planning and reporting for strategic decision making skills
  • High level of work productivity, exhibited self-starting, a commitment to reduce unproductive time, taking the initiative and a display of leadership in getting on with the job
  • Team player with a 'can-do' attitude
  • 3+ years’ experience in account management
  • Telecommunication & technology industry knowledge is preferred but not essential
  • High level of experience on solution selling covering multi-market and channel
  • Experience in the use of CRM software for managing activity
