Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the Capital and Investments Lead at One New Zealand, you will be responsible for leading capital planning, forecasting, processing month-end financial results and managing investment systems, with a focus on reducing risk, enhancing efficiency, and optimising returns. A key part of the role is ensuring all capital expenditure processes are tightly aligned with business objectives, supported by robust systems and informed by clear, timely analysis.
You will also champion the integration of AI and automation technologies to streamline investment workflows and enhance accuracy. This role requires a collaborative mindset, as you will be working closely with both Finance and wider business stakeholders to provide guidance, and insights.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Manage and enhance investment systems to support the capital spend process. Provide training and guidance on these systems to the wider business.
- Support in capital planning and reforecasting process. Optimise capital allocation to maximise returns and minimise risk to support strategic goals.
- Measure and report on the performance of individual investments and the overall portfolio and achieve targeted return on investment (ROI) for the company’s investment portfolio.
- Preparation and analysis of month end financial results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance to support strategic decision-making.
- Support with fixed asset and capitalisation processes.
- Drive the integration of AI and automation technologies to enhance investment processes as well as improve efficiency and accuracy in capital and investment management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders within Finance and the wider business.
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- 5+ years relevant business experience as financial analyst or similar role.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work through and understand complex process flows, systems and changes management.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of systems, change management and process improvement.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions to enhance operational processes.
- Effective stakeholder communications and ability to work collaboratively.
- Large company and/or Telco industry experience preferred.
- Chartered Accountant qualification or similar.
