Ko tō tūranga – your role

As the Channel Communications Advisor at One NZ, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering communication strategies that connect our people to our purpose. You’ll craft clear, engaging, and impactful messaging that supports our frontline teams across all channels—ensuring they’re informed, aligned, and motivated to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

 

In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our omni-channel transformation, helping to embed new ways of working across SME and Consumer segments. Your communications will bring our strategic priorities to life, enabling our teams to work as one and drive consistent, right-first-time service outcomes.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Develop and implement clear, engaging communication plans for frontline teams across all channels.
  • Create compelling content to support promotions, incentives, product launches, and service updates.
  • Ensure all messaging aligns with One NZ’s brand, purpose, and strategic objectives.
  • Manage and optimise digital communication platforms, making information easy to access and navigate.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communications are effective and relevant.
  • Establish and report on communication engagement metrics to inform and improve future strategies.
  • Maintain a regular cadence of updates, ensuring frontline teams receive timely and accurate information.

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Ideally have experience in communications within a Contact Centre and/or Retail environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Strong editing and proofreading abilities to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • A good understanding of best practices and emerging trends in internal communications.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
