Ko tō tūranga – your role
As a Commercial Analyst at One New Zealand, you will play a pivotal role within the Commercial Finance team. By leveraging your ability to build deep vertical knowledge, you will work closely with various business functions to drive insights and optimize activities.
In this role you will provide expertise in financial reporting, analysis, governance, and cost management to enable data-driven decisions and financial accountability.
Through partnering with stakeholders across our business you will help ensure that our commercial strategies align with business objectives and the evolving technology landscape.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and cost analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Support effective tracking, and reporting of cloud and SaaS expenditures to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Deliver data-driven insights and dashboards to inform leadership and business units on key financial trends.
- Assist in implementing governance frameworks to enhance cost transparency and ensure policy adherence.
- Support Procurement in analysing vendor contracts, assessing value, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify efficiencies, trends, providing proactive recommendations for cost control and operational improvements.
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams to align commercial strategies with broader business goals.

- Broad business experience including 2-3 years in a Finance/Commercial Analyst or relevant commercial role.
- Strong financial modelling, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including an owner's mindset.
- Proven experience building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders and working effectively across functions at all level.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also driving independent analysis and insights.
- Customer focus – displays a natural heart to serve.
- A keen curiosity around emerging technologies and AI
