Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the Commercial Analyst – Technology at One New Zealand, you will support the Commercial Finance team in evaluating, analysing, and managing technology investments.
Working closely with Procurement, Legal, and Technology, you will develop business cases, maintain commercial models, and ensure sound commercial analysis for strategic initiatives, along with supporting commercial agreements for wholesale and infrastructure, ensuring clear value-driven outcomes.
You will assist with commercial modelling, contract review, contribute to month-end processes, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance commercial processes using automation and modern tools.
This role provides an opportunity to develop your commercial and negotiation skills while contributing to sustainable growth.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Develop and maintain commercial models, business cases, and benefit tracking for wholesale agreements, technology, and infrastructure investments.
- Support the automation of billing mechanisms for wholesale customers, ensuring accurate tracking, revenue recognition, and robust audit controls
- Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and Technology to support the negotiation, documentation, and implementation of commercial agreements.
- Conduct financial analysis, identify commercial insights, and present recommendations that support sound decision-making.
- Contribute to month-end processes, ensuring commercial models are applied accurately for financial reporting and compliance.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, leveraging automation and modern tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
