Ko tō tūranga – your role

As our dedicated Compliance Partner, you will work to align business activity with regulatory and customer obligations through compliance assurance activity and relationship building.

 

Becoming a trusted business partner acting in a ‘second line’ function, the Compliance Partner will build and maintain the compliance programme to ensure key requirements are continually met.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Build and maintain the Compliance Programme, and Obligations Register
  • Act as a trusted advisor to ‘first line’ business functions
  • Maintain sight of, and engage regularly with, accountable owners of compliance activity to ensure continuity in meeting obligations
  • Provide assurance of compliance to key areas stated within the Compliance Programme through use of self-certification and regular review
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the Risk and Compliance Manager

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Experience of Compliance, Assurance, or similar GRC related role.
  • Excellent communication skills – as a business partner you will regularly engage with senior stakeholders to perform in your role.
  • Stakeholder management – ability to effectively engage, influence and communicate with a broad cross-section of stakeholders.
  • Assess and interpret – able to critically evaluate data provided by stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail – error free reporting and analysis, ability to check own work and communicate insights.
  • Planning and coordination - able to understand sequencing and process steps involved to get from idea to outcome.
  • Understanding of Telecommunication and Consumer legislation advantages
