Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the Strategy and Planning Analyst, you will lead the financial modelling and development of the long-term corporate plan and support on development of the overarching company strategy.
This includes helping management assess strategic options and investments, including running valuations and financial modelling for business cases.
Additionally, the role entails assisting in the development of investor reporting for the company's owners. This requires collaboration and relationship-building with stakeholders and external advisors to ensure the successful execution of these responsibilities. By working closely with various teams and individuals, the aim is to ensure that the company's strategic objectives are met and communicated effectively.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Develop the long-term corporate plan
- Manage valuation process with external valuers
- Modelling and analysis for long-term financial strategies, special projects and potential investments opportunities
- Business case preparation
- Risk scenario and sensitivity analysis, including ESG
- Reporting for Infratil Investor Relations
- Injecting strategic and innovative thinking into the issues that the business faces
- Develop a customer obsessed culture
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself, your team and our people
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- Must have strong financial modelling skills
- Critical thinker with experience in interpreting variance analysis across P&L, balance sheet and cash
- Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting along with experience with consolidating large sets of financial data
- Good accounting skills including a base knowledge of cash management and IFRS and its business application
- Demonstrated competence in continuous improvement
- Effective stakeholder communications and management
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Background in valuations and financial modelling, Transaction Services or M&A preferred from either a Big 4 or investment bank
