Ko tō tūranga – your role
As Creative and Media Effectiveness Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how One NZ brings its campaigns to life across paid communications. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the centre of brand and marketing, leading the planning, governance and effectiveness approach that makes campaigns sharper, smarter and more impactful.
You will help ensure media investment is clear, disciplined and aligned to the bigger picture, while connecting great creative with commercial results. You will be the person who turns campaign insight into stronger future performance, helping lift the quality of planning, message hierarchy, media decisions and agency delivery across the portfolio.
This role will suit someone who is energised by using evidence to improve outcomes, loves bringing structure to complex campaigns, and wants to make a visible difference to how One NZ invests, learns and grows in market.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Own the communications planning framework, including campaign architecture, message hierarchy, and planning standards
- Lead media governance and investment discipline, ensuring spend is transparent, evidence-led, and aligned to business priorities
- Drive the creative effectiveness approach, ensuring major campaigns are measured consistently and insights are turned into action
- Set agency integration standards and performance expectations to ensure high-quality delivery and strong alignment to One NZ priorities
- Partner with squad and enterprise teams to strengthen campaign design, sequencing, and in-market impact
- Use campaign, audience, and commercial performance data to improve planning quality, media allocation, and communications effectiveness

- Data-led approach to optimisation, using insight and learning to improve future performance
- Solid understanding of planning governance, measurement discipline, and effectiveness frameworks
- Proven ability to lead agencies and stakeholders, building alignment and accountability across campaigns
