Ko tō tūranga – your role

We’re on the hunt for a high-energy, commercially savvy B2B Event Manager who thrives on influence, pace, and impact. This is a role for someone who knows how to champion sales, build trust, and create unforgettable experiences that drive business outcomes.

You’ll lead the development and execution of a national events programme that spans One NZ-led events on topics as varied as workforce mobility solutions, cyber security innovations, global internet of things coverage, and much more; alongside strategic event sponsorship, CXO roundtables, regional SME activations, public sector briefings, and headline hospitality moments.

This isn’t just logistics—it’s strategy, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll be the driving force behind events that strengthen client relationships, generate qualified pipeline, and support One NZ Enterprise and Business sales and revenue targets. With a sharp commercial lens and a passion for connection, you’ll work closely with partners and internal teams to deliver high-value experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

• Develop our B2B events at One NZ, running a national program across enterprise, government, SME, and partner channels. 
• Lead the strategy, planning, and delivery of 80+ events per year - some big, some boutique, all on-brand and on-purpose. 
• Work directly with our Sales leaders and teams to create events that drive conversations, pipeline, and conversion. 
• Own the end-to-end event lifecycle - from concept and calendar to invites, venues, vendors, VIPs, and run sheets. 
• Collaborate across marketing, PR, product, and partner teams to align events with campaigns, launches, and priorities. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders - and keep things moving with clarity, confidence, and (just the right amount of) hustle. 
• Prove impact: report on outcomes, ROI, leads, and customer feedback.

• A natural connector and sales champion - you get what makes B2B relationships tick, and you know how to turn that into impactful experiences. 
• 5+ years running high-quality, high-volume B2B events - ideally in tech, telco, or another fast-paced, complex industry. 
• A pro at prioritising, juggling, and keeping calm when the pressure's on. 
• Confidence working with senior execs, strategic partners, and high-value customers - from the boardroom to the BBQ. 
• Someone who's comfortable with ambiguity, fast on their feet, and always focused on outcomes, not just outputs. 
• A sense of humour. A sharp eye for detail. A love of great experiences and even better company.
