Ko tō tūranga – your role

As our Enterprise Customer & Internal Engagement Lead, you’ll plan and deliver a coordinated programme of customer and internal engagement activity across Enterprise Customers and the wider Customer function.

You’ll create high-quality experiences that connect our people, strengthen customer relationships and ensure One NZ participates in the right external events with the right customers. Your portfolio will include customer events and hospitality, internal hui, leadership forums and the Legends recognition programme.

Working closely with Sales, Enterprise Practices, Brand & Marketing and business leaders, you’ll align audiences, content, timing and delivery. While Sales leaders and account teams retain accountability for commercial outcomes and strategic customer relationships, you’ll own engagement quality, audience fit, programme governance and execution excellence.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Own the annual Enterprise and Business engagement calendar, covering customer and third-party events, hospitality, hui, leadership forums and the Legends programme.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of customer events, executive forums, conferences, sponsorship activations, hospitality and partner experiences.
  • Work with Sales leaders and account teams to match customers with relevant events, coordinating nominations, invitations, registration, guest lists, hosting plans and attendance records.
  • Plan and deliver internal hui, leadership forums, town halls, team connection sessions and other priority internal events.
  • Own the annual planning and end-to-end delivery of the Enterprise and Business Legends recognition programme and associated winner experiences.
  • Manage event budgets, suppliers, agencies, venues, contracts, procurement, travel, privacy, health and safety, risk and delivery governance.
  • Partner with business leaders, Brand & Marketing, Product, Practices, PR and external partners to coordinate relevant content, speakers and on-brand experiences.
  • Use attendance information, feedback and programme insights to improve audience selection, experience quality, operational efficiency and future planning.

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Extensive experience leading complex customer or corporate events, internal engagement activity or recognition programmes, ideally within a large, matrixed organisation.
  • Proven end-to-end delivery experience across executive customer events, hospitality, conferences, hui, leadership forums, awards or recognition experiences.
  • Strong judgement in audience design and guest selection, with the ability to match customers, stakeholders and event formats appropriately.
  • Excellent programme management, prioritisation and operational discipline across multiple concurrent events.
  • Confident stakeholder leadership skills and experience working with senior executives, customer-facing teams, partners, agencies and suppliers.
  • Experience managing sizeable budgets, contracts, procurement, event risk, privacy, health and safety requirements and travel logistics.
