Ko tō tūranga – your role

The Finance Manager - Enterprise you will support our Head of Finance – Enterprise in driving performance across one of One New Zealand’s most strategic business units. The Enterprise team serves large and complex customers, generating over $300 million in annual revenue, and this role is key to delivering insights that support strategic decision-making, manage risk, and help the business achieve its financial targets.

 

As Finance Manager, you’ll take full ownership of both revenue and direct cost performance, with a sharp focus on improving margin, EBITDA, and cash outcomes. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing high-quality analysis and recommendations that shape the future direction of the Enterprise unit.

 

While this role does not currently involve direct team management, there may be opportunities for leadership long term. 

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making
  • Lead the development and maintenance of rolling financial forecasts
  • Oversee the month-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Provision of performance insights, commentary and clear recommendations
  • Strategic finance leadership
  • Stakeholder management/influence to drive performance and decision making
  • Provide financial expertise and analysis to support commercial decision making
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting and operational efficiencies

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Ability to analyse complex financial data and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Experience building and interpreting financial models, with strong capability in excel along with reporting tools experience with PowerBI advantage.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships at senior levels.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate complex finance data to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
