Ko tō tūranga – your role
As People Advisor, you will play an important role in supporting the People Partnering team to deliver practical, timely and consistent people support across One NZ. This is a great opportunity for someone who is curious, confident, and looking to grow their career in people and HR while gaining hands-on experience across cyclical people processes, reporting, documentation, employee experience activities, and project support.
Working closely with People Consultants, People Business Partners, and wider stakeholders, you will build your capability by providing first-line support, helping to coordinate key people initiatives, and contributing to smarter ways of working through approved AI tools, automation, and digital practices. It is a role that offers variety, learning, and the chance to make a real contribution in a team that values great people experiences.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Coordinate key people processes across Performance, Talent Engagement, Remuneration, and Workforce Planning to ensure smooth and timely delivery
- Support the preparation of people reports, presentations, trackers, and other documentation that enable strong decision-making
- Provide coordination and support across employment relations and change activity, helping complex matters progress effectively
- Act as a first point of contact for people-related queries, providing guidance and escalating more complex matters where needed
- Use data, digital tools, and AI solutions to present people insights clearly and improve efficiency
- Support People projects and initiatives by coordinating activities, tracking progress, and following through on actions
- Identify opportunities to simplify and improve people processes while building strong, trusted relationships across the business

- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across a range of stakeholders
- Naturally curious, with a genuine interest in people, employee experience, and how things work
- Eager to learn and build a career in HR, with a proactive and development-focused mindset
- Comfortable working with data, trackers, and reporting, with strong attention to detail
- Confident preparing presentations, summaries, and other professional materials
- Collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate
