Ko tō tūranga – your role
As a People Support Specialist, you’ll play an important role in creating a great people experience at One New Zealand. You’ll be a trusted first point of contact for our people, providing timely, accurate and customer-focused support across HR, payroll and people-related queries.
You’ll help keep our People operations running smoothly through accurate HR administration, HRIS and data management, reporting, compliance, and remuneration and benefits support. With a strong eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset, you’ll also look for smarter and more efficient ways of working that improve both the employee experience and the service our People team delivers.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems and getting the details right, while building their experience across a broad range of People and HR activities.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Be a go-to point of support for our people, providing fast, accurate and helpful answers across HR, payroll and travel queries, with a focus on getting things right the first time.
- Help deliver a seamless people experience by supporting key HR processes and operational activities from start to finish.
- Play an important role in keeping our people data accurate and reliable, maintaining HR information and ensuring our systems contain high-quality, up-to-date information.
- Support reporting, data uploads and compliance activities, identifying issues and helping drive them through to resolution.
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to the team, looking for opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and make it easier for our people to get the support they need.
- Work collaboratively across the People team and wider business to deliver a consistent, customer-focused service and a great experience for our people.
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- Experience in HR or People administration, ideally within a fast-paced or shared services environment. Experience using SAP SuccessFactors would be an advantage.
- A good working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation, HR policies and people processes.
- Previous payroll experience or a good understanding of New Zealand payroll processes and relevant legislation is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with employee information, systems and data.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and stay organised while delivering quality work within agreed timeframes.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify issues, problem-solve and recommend practical improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to provide clear, helpful and customer-focused support to people across the business.
- A genuine customer and people-first mindset, with a commitment to delivering a great employee experience.
