Ko tō tūranga – your role

As Revenue Assurance Analyst, you will play a key role in protecting One NZ’s revenue and margin by ensuring billing is complete, accurate and on time across our products, services and customer segments. You will investigate variances, identify revenue leakage and billing errors, and work closely with commercial, finance, operations and technology teams to strengthen controls, improve processes and support change with confidence. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving complex problems and making a visible impact through stronger assurance and better customer outcomes.

 

Please note: this is a full time (40 hours per week), Permanent role.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Perform data-led assurance across the end-to-end revenue and billing lifecycle to identify missing, incorrect or untimely charges.
  • Validate billing outcomes and source data against approved prices, product and service terms, discounts, offers and contract commitments.
  • Reconcile CRM, order, provisioning, billing and invoice data to identify anomalies, quantify impact and drive timely resolution.
  • Investigate discrepancies, coordinate correction or recovery, and recommend improvements that reduce repeat issues and control failures.
  • Assess revenue and billing impacts for new or changed products, pricing, campaigns, systems and processes, and define assurance requirements.
  • Work across commercial, finance, operations, technology, customer teams and vendors to bridge business and technical understanding.
  • Maintain clear assurance documentation, risk assessments and reporting to support governance and audit requirements.
  • Bring assurance expertise into projects and forums, helping protect revenue while supporting change and continuous improvement.

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and a practical problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working with large, complex data sets and able to interpret, reconcile and explain information clearly.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI is an advantage, with SQL and AI capability desirable.
  • Commercial acumen, with the ability to understand contracts, pricing and billing implications.
  • Good understanding of billing and revenue processes, controls and end-to-end service lifecycles.
  • Ability to assess change impacts and risks across business and technical processes and translate them into practical assurance requirements.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
  • Around 1 year of relevant experience in revenue or billing assurance, ideally within a complex environment.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
