Ko tō tūranga – your role

As the Salesforce Tech Lead – Platforms Components, you will act as the technical design authority for key Salesforce CRM components at One New Zealand, including Agent Console, CPQ, Product Catalogue, XOM/COM, and roles and permissions.

 

You will shape how these platforms are designed and governed, ensuring they operate effectively across the wider CRM and Fulfilment ecosystem to improve customer experience and reduce operational complexity.

 

Working closely with squads and platform leaders, you will set design standards, provide technical sign‑off on major solutions, and establish guardrails that enable secure, scalable, and high‑quality delivery. You will guide product catalogue design, assess seasonal release impacts, embed best practice across Salesforce components, and coach teams to lift overall platform maturity.

 

This role suits a hands‑on technical leader who brings architectural discipline, supports modern ways of working (including AI‑enabled tools), and enables the business to move with confidence.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Serve as the design authority and final technical sign-off for major solution designs involving Agent Console, CPQ, Product Catalogue, XOM/COM, Personas & Permissions.
  • Interoperability of Salesforce components with OCP and other applications
  • Provide operational guardrails that enable business teams to configure the product catalogue
  • Coordinate with platform design authority to ensure designs are deployable and non-functional requirements are treated as first-class.
  • Coach squads on best practice release behaviours and adoption of standard tooling/processes.
  • Seasonal release scope and assimilate new features into One NZ and regression impact 
  • Adopt AI tooling and facilitate the use of AI tools across ways of working

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Proven experience across Salesforce Communications Cloud or core Salesforce platform components, with one or more Salesforce certifications or relevant training completed
  • Strong experience designing enterprise‑scale Salesforce solutions across CRM, CPQ, Agent Console, and Product Catalogue
  • Proven ability to define and uphold architectural standards, design principles, and decision governance across complex environments
  • Solid knowledge of integration patterns, API governance, data flows, and cross‑system dependency management
  • Good understanding of Salesforce security and access models, including roles, permissions, auditability, and risk‑aware design
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring teams and embedding best‑practice ways of working
  • Experience applying and governing AI‑enabled development tools in enterprise environments while maintaining compliance and control
