Ko tō tūranga – your role
As Channel Scheduling Specialist – Retail, you will play a key role in helping One NZ deliver a seamless omni-channel customer experience by ensuring our frontline retail teams are scheduled effectively and supported to perform at their best. Working closely with the Senior Scheduling Specialist, you will help coordinate day-to-day rostering across touch, talk, and type channels, making sure schedules are accurate, compliant, and aligned to customer demand, store trading patterns, and business priorities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and calm under pressure, with a genuine interest in improving how things work. You will help enable right-first-time capability across retail, support multi-skilled teams, and look for ways to simplify or automate processes so scheduling is more efficient, responsive, and effective for both our people and our customers.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Maintain workforce schedules in line with weekly and daily operational requirements, while ensuring compliance with NZ labour laws and company policies
- Prioritise incoming work from shared inboxes and team emails to keep scheduling activity moving efficiently
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and support better productivity and operational efficiency
- Provide regular reporting to business stakeholders on workforce utilisation, scheduling adherence, overtime, and absenteeism
- Support timely communication of clear, practical schedules to frontline teams with as much lead time as possible

- Proven experience in workforce scheduling or management within a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data to drive effective scheduling decisions.
- Experienced in high-volume, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
- An understanding of NZ labour laws and retail compliance.
- Focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
