Ko tō tūranga – your role

One New Zealand are looking a Security Architects to join our team! As a Security Architect you will take ownership of defining and implementing cross-domain security architectures, drive solution design and governance, and enhance cyber maturity across the organization. Our Security Architect will work closely with our internal IT and Network teams getting exposure across a diverse range of some of the most cutting-edge telco and IT technologies while proactively engaging and partnering with stakeholders to align cybersecurity with our One NZ business goals. This role requires a good understanding of One NZ business as a service provider including our mobile network, our broadband and IP network.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

• Provide security architecture design, ensuring cross domain alignment.
• Security solution definition, design support and design governance.
• Help define security reference architectures and patterns and strive to uplift cyber maturity across the organisation.
• Act as the End to End /Security Solution Architect accountable for the delivery of the technical components of the project design.
• Maintain security architecture standards & principles and ensuring alignment with industry and One NZ standards.
• Participate in the Architecture Review Board governance mechanism to ensure security roadmaps and solution designs comply with architecture principles and policies.

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

• Strong background in information security architecture design and implementation as well as security solution design and governance with strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
• Experience or a good understanding of mobile networks and or broadband network design and delivery.
• Experience with security products such as Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.
• Knowledge or experience working on broadband network design and delivery, including BRAS, BNG, IP routing, RADIUS, etc.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms, as well as best practices for remediating vulnerabilities.
• Good communication skills, able to effectively engage with both internal and external parties.
