Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the Senior Finance Analyst – NetCo, you will provide financial insight and analysis that supports smarter decision-making, cost efficiency, and stronger performance across the Technology and AI & Business Services portfolios.
Partnering closely with stakeholders across Finance and the business, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and performance management, helping to ensure financial results are accurate, transparent, and well understood. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to broader finance outcomes while working in an evolving environment that embraces data, technology, and AI to improve efficiency and insight.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Lead budgeting and forecasting across the Technology and AI & Business Services portfolio, working closely with stakeholders to deliver robust plans supported by clear commentary and insight into key drivers
- Own the month-end close process for NetCo, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful reporting across the P&L and balance sheet
- Communicate month-end results to key stakeholders, including variance analysis, risks and opportunities, and recommendations to improve future performance
- Partner with stakeholders to understand real-time business performance and maintain a clear, up-to-date financial outlook against budget
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and cost optimisation opportunities
- Build strong working relationships across Finance, Technology, and AI & Business Services teams to promote alignment, transparency, and shared accountability
- Contribute to continuous improvement across financial processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and insight
- Work closely with the Finance Manager to streamline and strengthen month-end processes, improving consistency and performance
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in financial analysis, audit, or a similar role
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- CAANZ qualification, or progress towards it, would be preferred
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or business performance, with a strong foundation in financial and commercial thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate detailed analysis into clear insights and recommendations for a range of stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to build relationships and challenge constructively where needed
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and planning or reporting platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
- Exposure to the telecommunications industry would be beneficial, but is not essential — we welcome candidates with strong core finance capability and a desire to grow their commercial knowledge
