Ko tō tūranga – your role
As Senior Finance Analyst – NetCo, you will play a key role in turning financial data into insight that supports better decisions across the Technology and AI & Business Services portfolios. Working closely with business stakeholders and commercial managers, you will help improve forecasting, transparency, and cost efficiency across the operating cost base, while also contributing to broader finance deliverables such as wholesale revenue.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is curious, commercially minded, and keen to work at the forefront of AI-enabled finance, using tools like ChatGPT and AWS Bedrock to improve insight, efficiency, and performance.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the Technology and AI & Business Services portfolio
- Own month-end reporting for NetCo, ensuring accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet results
- Partner with stakeholders to understand performance drivers and maintain a current rolling financial outlook
- Provide clear analysis of variances, risks, opportunities, and performance trends to support decision-making
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support cost optimisation and commercial initiatives
- Build strong working relationships across Finance, Technology, and AI & Business Services teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and tooling to improve speed, accuracy, and insight

- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong understanding of commercial drivers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Comfortable building strong relationships across Finance and wider business teams, with the confidence to influence where needed
- Curious and commercially minded, with an interest in understanding the telecommunications environment and its key business levers
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Confident using financial systems and tools such as Excel, Power BI, ERP, and planning and reporting platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
