Ko tō tūranga – your role
As Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will play a key role in shaping great hiring outcomes across One New Zealand, partnering closely with leaders and People Partners to attract and secure exceptional talent across a broad portfolio of roles. This 12-month contract is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and enjoys proactively sourcing, building strong relationships, and working across challenging and hard-to-fill roles to deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes that support business growth.
You will also have the opportunity to influence how we work, contributing to process improvement, ATS optimisation and AI-enabled recruitment practices that help create smarter, more efficient ways of working for the team and the wider business. This role will suit someone who is commercially minded, curious, and motivated by the chance to make a visible impact while helping One NZ continue to attract, assess and secure great talent.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Own end-to-end recruitment across a broad portfolio of roles, ensuring a consistent and high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience
- Partner closely with leaders deliver recruitment outcomes aligned to business needs
- Build strong understanding of assigned business areas, including team structures, role requirements and hiring priorities
- Lead the recruitment process from briefing through to offer and onboarding
- Drive proactive sourcing and pipelining across a range of market channels to support current and future hiring needs
- Advise hiring managers on market conditions, salary positioning, talent availability and attraction strategies
- Champion continuous improvement, internal mobility and the effective use of recruitment tools, systems and data
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- Strong talent acquisition experience across in-house, agency or mixed environments, ideally including specialist or technical recruitment
- Proven ability to partner as a trusted advisor while managing end-to-end recruitment delivery across multiple roles and stakeholders
- Strong sourcing capability, including pipelining, market mapping and headhunting
- Commercially aware, with the ability to quickly understand business functions, capability needs and team structures
- Confident advising on market trends, salary positioning and talent availability to support hiring decisions
- Excellent relationship management, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across the business
- A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in technology, process improvement and AI-enabled recruitment practices
