Ko tō tūranga – your role

As the Team Lead – Design & Records your role is to be responsible for end-to-end solutions designs for fibre access provisioning which enable the business to deliver connectivity to our optical systems and customers.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • End-to-end Fibre access design delivery
  • Team delivery Management
  • Team Performance management
  • Contribute to development of domain roadmaps and Network plan
  • Capacity reporting
  • PNI management
  • Delivery of solution designs
  • Develop and produce of project plans, schedules, and SOW as required
  • Create SOP for Change request submissions
  • Input and request Change requests
  • Provide end to end design documents
  • Build strong relationship with key stakeholders

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Comprehensive understanding of OSP build specifically.
  • Knowledge of the Utilities ACT
  • Civil Construction legislation and Methodologies knowledge
  • Traffic Management
  • Experience in Fibre installation, handling, splicing and testing
  • Knowledge of Council regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of Layer 1 - Layer 2 technologies
  • Knowledge of Transmission Methodologies
  • Fibre Optic design principles including Transmission technologies, DWDM, SDH
  • Outside Plant design, deliver and maintenance of Underground and overhead network architecture
  • Digital Microwave Radio design principles including IP Transport, Ethernet switching / routing
  • Multi-Platform Access technologies, including HFC, GPON, XGPON 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage and contribute within a high performing and diverse team
