Ko tō tūranga – your role

The AWS Developer – Amazon Connect & Contact Center is a key technical role focused on delivering scalable, innovative customer engagement solutions. You'll be instrumental in supporting and evolving our cloud-based contact center environment, built on Amazon Connect and integrated with various AWS services. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and enhancing customer experiences through smart, efficient systems.

 

You’ll be part of a collaborative team working to ensure the contact center remains modern, resilient, and aligned with best practices in DevOps and cloud architecture. Your expertise will contribute to a high-performing, customer-first environment, where technology and people work hand in hand to deliver exceptional service.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Design, build, and enhance contact center solutions using Amazon Connect and AWS services
  • Develop serverless functions and APIs (primarily using Python) to extend platform capabilities
  • Integrate Amazon Connect with internal systems and third-party platforms for seamless customer experiences
  • Apply best practices in CI/CD and DevOps to ensure reliable and scalable deployments
  • Monitor and optimize AWS service usage to improve performance and reduce costs
  • Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to maintain platform stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation
  • Continuously explore and adopt emerging AWS technologies to improve contact center operations

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Hands-on expertise with Amazon Connect and AWS services, including serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, S3)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Python and experience building and integrating APIs to support seamless system connectivity
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar DevOps toolsets for CI/CD, version control, and project tracking
  • Experience integrating cloud contact center solutions with enterprise systems and third-party applications
  • A growth mindset, eagerness to explore new technologies, and commitment to delivering high-quality customer experiences
