Ko tō tūranga – your role

The Business Development Manager will drive profitable growth for One New Zealand through building and qualifying a sustainable sales pipeline of new business leads to grow our SME Business customer base (up to 500 FTE).

This role is based in Christchurch and will be working with SME Business Customers in the Christchurch region.  

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

• Drive growth opportunities through prospecting and acquisition of new business customers.
• Develop a clear understanding of customer objectives, to assist them to accelerate their innovation through technology solutions.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve high NPS scores, improving conversion and close rates.
• Prospect, develop and close opportunities through driving core mobile, fixed and ICT products as per portfolio target.
• Network across customers and partners through presence, referrals and connecting with key business associations.
• Commitment to customer management in order to promote increased growth and loyalty.
• Collaborate and self-organise with team members to meet the shared goals.
• Present reporting against targets and sales pipeline that demonstrate customer growth and loyalty.

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

• At least 2 years’ experience in a BDM position from the Telco (or similar) industry
• Strong stakeholder management
• Outstanding communication, relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Strong results orientation with a track record of achieving exceptional results and rational decision making and ability to identify, understand and meet customer needs, grow their business and help them digitally transform.
• High attention to detail with good writing planning and reporting for strategic decision-making skills.
• High level of work productivity exhibited self-starting, a commitment to reduce unproductive time, taking the initiative and a display of leadership in getting on with the job.
• Team player with a 'can-do' attitude
• High level of experience on solution selling covering multi-market and channel
• Experience in the use of CRM software for managing activity.
